Popular Used Oris Watches
After Oris was established in Holstein, Switzerland in 1904, the brand immediately found success. In 1938, they introduced the Big Crown, the brand’s first pilot watch. Oris fared well during difficult times in the 1940s, and found exceptional success in the 1960s. The brand unveiled its first chronometer, the Caliber 652, in 1968. The 1970s marked the start of a time of struggle and transition, however, as they joined ASUAG, now the Swatch Group, and the industry faced the Quartz crisis. Out of struggle came innovation, as Oris revealed the iconic Chronoris. Oris ultimately prevailed through hard times, returned to their independent status, and regained their position as one of the leading brands in the watch industry. They proceeded to launch the Caliber 581 movement and debuted their first Worldtimer. Owning an Oris watch means owning a unique timepiece representing resilience and innovation.
