Preowned Watch Details
Manufactured in 1956 (Serial Number: 172,xxx). Richly patina'd original dial with prominent gold applied indexes and tapered dauphine hands. Watch is in very good vintage condition with some light scuffs on the case. Leather strap with gold-plated tang buckle is a brand-new aftermarket replacement. Case measures 34mm x 40mm. Powered by Rolex's caliber 1030 self-winding mechanical movement with sweep seconds.

The watch is Crown & Caliber Certified Authentic. Rolex Oyster Perpetual so called "Bombe" model 14K gold ref # 6593 serial# 172,xxx circa 1956. Featuring 34 x 40mm Oyster case with prominent bowed lugs, fine fluted bezel, acrylic dome style crystal, and beautiful and richly patina'd original champagne dial with large faceted heart shaped applied indexes and gold faceted dauphine hands. Powered by Rolex calibre 1030 movement with sweep seconds. An exceptionally nice condition and distinctive original dial and matching hands. Fully serviced and detailed by our most meticulous watchmaker, and offered with a 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation, on your choice of fine leather or exotic skin strap. NOTE: The bombe style case with it's pronounced and curved lugs is arguably the most elaborate and best looking Oyster case design from Rolex. The current example features a very richly patina'd original dial, with a very bright and lively surface, and beautiful even toning throughout. One might draw a comparison to the rich toning of a proof condition gold coin. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but we think a lot of this dial and sure someone is going to feel the same way!
