To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the 1970 Apollo 13 mission in which the crew used their Speedmaster watches as part of their perilous return to Earth (an action for which Omega received NASA's Silver Snoopy Award) the iconic "Moonwatch" has been re-imagined with a white dial that features a Super-LumiNova Snoopy on the 9 o'clock sub-dial. The words "Failure is not an option" has been added to the dial, along with the phrase "What could you do in 14 seconds?" with 14 squares that represent the Snoopy comics. Similar to the original, this model features Moonwatch-style hands. Limited and numbered edition of only 1970 units worldwide (limited edition watch number 1760/1970). This timepiece is in overall excellent pre-owned condition. All photos are of the actual watch being sold. Powered by Omega's infamous Calibre 1861 hand-winding mechanical movement with an approximate 48-hour power reserve. Comes with original Omega box, papers dated 06/06/2016, and manuals as well as a Snoopy pin. Serial Number: 87626xxx.
