Manufactured in 1968 (1.8 Million Serial Number). Case shows light scratching consistent with a vintage timepiece. Leather strap with stainless steel tang buckle is a brand-new aftermarket replacement. Powered by Rolex's caliber 1570 self-winding mechanical movement with sweep seconds and date. This model features an original "Wide Boy" pie pan dial with warmly patina'd luminous dots and matching silver baton hands. The grey dial takes on purple hues depending on the light. NOTE: the "Wide Boy" dial designation refers to the popular wider applied dial markers and wider hands found on some models of this era Datejust model.

The watch is Crown & Caliber Certified Authentic. Rolex Man's Stainless Steel Datejust ref 1601 serial #1.8 million circa 1968. Featuring 36mm diameter case with 14K WG fluted bezel, acrylic crystal, and beautiful and unusual original grey so called "Wide Boy" pie pan dial with wide applied silver indexes, warmly patina'd luminous dots, and matching silver baton hands. The grey dial takes on purple hues depending on the light, bringing a lot of life to the watch. Powered by self winding caliber 1570 movement with sweep seconds and date. Shown with a complementary deep blue Italian crocodile strap, but available on your choice of sporty leather or exotic skin strap. Fully serviced and offered with our 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation.
